So what do you think?

Here are our pumpkin creations!!! And to think there was so much gagging going on yesterday!!!

Landon would really rather get down and play!! I think Casey is probably the proudest of all but Shelby runs a close race!

Casey's pumpkin.

Shelby's RABBIT pumpkin. Please not the lovely white ears!!

Drew's pumpkin.

Pumpkin Fun

Not!!!!!
Drew and Shelby always want to carve pumpkins at Halloween but usually I find another way to decorate that suits them. Well this year they were not going to be persuaded to change---they wanted to carve those pumpkins!!! It's not that I don't want them to have fun and carving a pumpkin makes a great parallel to the transformation God makes in our life when we ask Him to take over our life. That being said, I REALLY don't like cleaning out the pumpkin guts. So this year, I told them that I would cut the tops open and after THEY cleaned out the guts, I would cut out the faces on their pumpkins. Sounded like a plan and they were ready to go. Shelby (you'll love this) went and got medical gloves for them to wear!!! I know you're laughing already!!! All I can say is by the way they acted, I think they might have gotten sick if they had actually TOUCHED "that stuff!"
What do you think? Will they want to do this again?

Poor Drew, the gloves almost didn't fit him!At this point, Shelby has on a double layer of gloves!!

Landon enjoyed playing with Drew's pumpkin lid while Casey had fun riding her zebra. She really wanted to carve her pumpkin and I think she would have had NO problem cleaning it out!!
However, she choose a small, bumpy pumpkin that I didn't want to try and carve so we glued a face on it.

Just because...

Casey with her "popcorn ball" that she got from Nate's party. Upon opening it she said, "Dis wooks wike a ball!"

Don't you just love this? It's one of my favorite pictures!!!

Okay, doesn't this just make you smile.

My Social Child...

Just in case I thought Shelby was my social child......enter Casey and a neighbor her own age!!!
Meet Ella Rose. She is our neighbor and just a little older than Casey. These girls are great together---most of the time (as long as everyone gets a nap!!) I think they were dancing in this picture.
Here they are planning a dance. It turns out that I get to play the music and they dance as Cinderella and Dorothy (who didn't want her photo taken).

They also love building with Legos. Casey mentioned the other day that she likes play-doh also. We do that at Ella Rose's house--outside!!
Then there is painting. We love to paint!! Shelby is great. She will paint and play Legos with them and they think that's great.
Now everyday, both girls start the day by asking when the other can play!!!

Cake anyone....

A couple of weeks ago, we went to Nate's 4th birthday party. Just wait till you see...
"We've got the cake now let's go!!"

Shelby and Josie "helped" Landon slide. I left off the picture of them almost dropping him while carryng him up the steps for the slide!!

In case you are wondering what the shirts say....
Will: I only go to school for the girls
Drew: Blame it on my parents
