I don't think Max

signed on for life with 2 little kids!!! He was good with Drew and Shelby but if I was him, I would rethink this life with little kids!!!

Poor guy, Casey gives him a fit most days. She just wants to play and Max just wants her to go away and we wont even talk about how he does his best to stay away from Landon. I don't know what Max is going to do when Landon starts moving around!!!

So what prompted this post tonight? Casey of course!!

Today while I was getting dressed and doing laundry and a list of things up stairs, Casey was tagging along and playing. She knows that she is supposed to stay out of Drew and Shelby's rooms but that she can go in the other bedrooms as long as I'm upstairs. Okay, so she is playing and I'm listening to her. When I'm done with my reboot of the laundry, I take her and head downstairs. After a few minutes, I realized that Max was no where around. I checked and Drew and Shelby had not let him outside so where did he go? All of the bedroom doors were open and so were both the gates on the stairs. I just couldn't figure it out. Then I went into my bathroom to put away some towels and guess who I found. MAX!!! Want to know what he was doing? He was sitting in my shower waiting on someone to open the door!!! Now I wish I had taken the time to get my camera and so I could have taken his picture but Landon was calling. Max always goes into the shower and licks the water--crazy dog!! Well today, Casey must have shut the shower door on him. I doubt it will change his behavior. I would venture to say that tomorrow, Max will be back in the shower. When I let him out he wanted to run but his feet were soooo wet that he couldn't get any traction. It was pretty funny!!!

Do you shop at Food Lion?

No, I don't know something to keep you from shopping there!!! However, if you do and you have one of their MVP cards, here is something cool to link to it.

http://www.hometownheroesonline.com/heroes/index.cfm

Home Town Heroes seems like a pretty cool organization. If you go to their site, and look under success stories, the little boy pictured is Adam. Several of you have gotten emails from us asking for prayer for Adam. He really enjoys the visits from his buddies at Home Town Heroes.
Anyway, our MVP card is not linked to anything, so I think I am going to link it to this for a while. It doesn't cost me anything and some one else can benefit from the little shopping we do at FL.

Hope everyone is having a great week.
Tracie
Oh if you want to read Adam's story, it can be found here:

An important detail...

that I left out of my post about the Rooney's visit.

I forgot to tell you about the Redneck Slip N Slide. If you have no idea what that is, then please follow the link on the left side of the screen. Just go to "Places to visit" and click on "Jennifer's Blog". She did a good job recapping the fun (and she has all the pictures--but I have the video and one day I may figure out how to put it on here!!)!!!
Enjoy

Fun with Koko

While I was recovering from this stomach bug....the kids got to play with Mimi and Kokopat. That means lots of great pictures.
Here is Drew, testing the limits of our swing set.
Casey's favorite thing to do outside is "wing hi"!!!
Landon showed KP and Mimi his cruising abilities.
Nails by Kokopat!!!
A great time was had by all and we are so thankful for all the help. We REALLY hope they don't get sick!!!

Cereal anyone?

Let the fun begin.

We gave Landon his first food on Monday!! What an April fools day trick for him.

He wasn't all that impressed!!!

Really he wanted a steak instead.

But in the end it wasn't so bad after all.

Fun with Friends..And PLEASE don't share!!!

Last Wednesday, we (the kids and I) met Jennifer and her 3 kids at the zoo. We had a pretty good time seeing all the people!!! I know you expected me to say animals didn't you? Well we would have seen the animals if there had not been a billion other kids at the zoo on the same day!!!! It didn't take us long to get our fill--especially with a 2 and 3 year old who wanted to walk!!!
On Friday, Steve took 1/2 a day off work and we rode the train into uptown Charlotte. We had a lot of fun just walking around and seeing the sights. Landon started the trip off with bang when he got sick all over his car seat while we were driving to the station. Yep friends who clean up each others kids when they are sick all over the place will be friends to the end--at least until they are 80!!!
Here are Drew, Will, Shelby and Josie in front of a mural in uptown. The girls got a kick out of seeing that this was made from broken plates and dishes and stuff.

There are some very, very tall buildings uptown. Do you know how hard it was to get this picture. For some reason, all of the kids wanted to hold on to the pole. Go figure.
We roasted marshmallows on the fire pit on Friday night. That was a big hit. 2 of the big kids just like catching the marshmallows on fire but not eating them!!! Good thing I like mine burned.
Jennifer and I spent Saturday morning at a neighborhood yard sale. It was fun and we got some good deals but we reached our days high before we left at 7AM!!!! We were freezing when we finish. Things kinda went down hill from there. Nate had been sick early Saturday morning but we figured it was because he was to hot. Guess not....Jennifer got sick on Saturday evening. Then Lance woke up sick in the middle of the night. Well we thought that we were home free until MONDAY when I got sick. I was so sick that Steve had to come home on Tuesday and then Mimi and KP came to the rescue on Tuesday night. Well guess what, now Steve is sick!!!! So you can come and see us at any time--at your own risk--and we may just spray everyone with Lysol at the door--but PLEASE let's don't share another stomach bug.
On the bright side, I lost 3 pounds!!!!
