The fun just never stops.....

Well after a fun filled day out with the kids it was great to get home tonight. We spent the better part of the day at a fall carnival. Drew and Shelby got to be part of a magic show. They had a blast. Casey got to pet a Shetland Pony. She really liked it and was not scared--after a minute--to walk right up to it. This will teach me to take my camera EVERYWHERE!! She kept walking up to it and petting him on the nose or putting her face against his. It was sweet.

It was nice but HOT!!! Everyone had a great time but I'm sure that while we were enjoying our day, someone MOVED our car because the walk back to it was A LOT farther than the walk from it to the event!!!

After all of the fun in the sun we got to go to Wally world--just so much fun!! Just picture it 4 tired kids (one who is hungry) and 2 very tired adults in a very crowded store. Fun was had by all. Actually it wasn't that bad. About 1/2 way through, Steve took the two little ones out to the car so that I could finish (and I'm sure so that he could listen to the 4th quarter of the USC game).

When we got home the day got funnier!! While we were putting away our groceries, I looked a C asey and she was sitting by Max's water and food bowl. Nothing new there--but we have to watch her because she doesn't mind trying dog food--even though it makes her gag!! Well the next time I looked her face is in Max's water bowl and she it lapping at it with her tongue!!!!! I quick point her out to Steve who tells her to stop--before I can get her picture!!! But I'm betting that I'll get another chance. When Steve tells Casey to stop, she looks up and says "UH MAX!!!" It was so funny!!! She definitely keeps us on our toes!!!

One last thing:

GO GAMECOCKS!!!!!!!!!!

Sleep--what is that again?

One of the finer joys of being a parent is the lack of sleep--NOT!!! This is made even more enjoyable when you or they are sick or both even!!! Yep, that was our night last night. We put Casey down at 7:30 and she was up by 8:30--yes only an hour later. She finally went to sleep on the couch with Mommy and Landon. Fortunately, she stayed asleep after we put her back in the crib. As we were going to bed at 11:30, I noticed how "funny" Landon sounded. It's not good to hear your 1 month old sounding "funny" and it's even worse when they get sick all over you and YOUR bed!!! We tried cleaning his nose out but that really just made him mad and he still couldn't lie down and breathe comfortably. I finally gave up and held him from midnight until 3am at which point I tried putting him back in the cradle but it didn't work. He fussed and snorted and coughed so we went down stairs. Finally after he fishied his snack, I put him in this bouncy seat/bed type thing that does not lay quite flat. It was perfect!!! He finally fell asleep about 5 and so did I!!! I'm not complaining because I know it's just part of being a mom and with 4 kids there will be days, I mean nights, like this--probably many of them!!!

A New Adventrue

Well here we go--a blog. Hmmm this may be to much technology for me!!! But never fear, I can always call on KP!! Right KP? Why a blog? Several reasons I guess. I'm hoping that it will help us keep all of our family and friends up to date on what's going on around here and see pictures of the kids--that is if I can keep it up to date!!! We, the kids and I, also want all of you to be able to follow our homeschool journey!!! We are traveling the world this year. It's going to be a blast!!! Plus this will just give me a place to "think" out loud at times as I ponder things I'm learning about being a wife, a mom, and a homeschooler.
So here we go off on an adventure!!!!
