Casey had a hard day a while back and was crying and fussing in the car. She finally announces that she has a headache. I told her it was probably from all the squalling she had been previously doing. About 30 seconds later something else got her ramped up and Landon says, "There goes that squalling again."
Riding home from co-op:
Landon-God talks to us.
Me-He sure does.
Landon-He's talking to us now.
Me-What is He saying?
Landon-He's saying that Landon doesn't have to take a nap when we get home and that he can play with Geotracks
Me-Hum. That is not what I heard!
We had a baby shower for one of our friends this weekend. As we were coming home from getting some shower supplies, this is the conversation we had:
Landon-Is the baby going to be in your bathroom?
Me-What? What baby?
Landon-THE BABY! Is it going to take a shower in your bathroom?
Me (trying not to laugh to hard)-No sweetie. There is not going to be a baby in my shower.
(Yes sometimes I do leave him hanging just to see what he will say next)
Landon-Well where is the baby going to take a shower?
Me-There is not going to be a baby at the shower. The baby is still in Mrs. Heather's tummy. A baby shower is when you give the mommy gifts to help her get ready for the new baby.
Landon-Is Mrs. Heather going to get in your shower?
Me-Nope, I hope not! (Just dropped it and changed the subject at this point)
The day of the shower as people are coming in and fellowshipping:
Landon-Is the baby here yet?
Me-Come here.
I take him and show him Mrs. Heather and her "baby." He is not impressed and walks off.
About 3 minutes later he comes and finds me and pulls me into the room where the gift are.
Landon-When the baby get's here is she going to open these presents?
Me-Nope. The baby will not be here today. She is still growing in Mrs. Heather tummy. Mrs. Heather is going to open the gifts. Remember they are for her to help her get the things she will need when the baby is born?
Landon-Who's going to take a shower?
Me-Landon, go find your friends and play. We'll have some cake after dinner!
Incase you are wondering, we do have lots of conversations in the car and this baby shower thing has caused lots of laughs this week!
