Overheard...

Casey and Landon are playing Legos this morning. They have houses and cars and all sorts of things built.

Casey: You have to call her name.

Landon (very loudly): NAAAAMMMMEEEEE

All the adult: lots of laughter!!

By the way, yes I know it's Sunday and at the normal time for church but we had one big kid "spill" this morning so we are hanging out at home and trying not to share with each other or anyone else.

Update

Okay here's the update on the eye.

Steve has such a level head--unlike me!!!

He and I looked at it really good before we put Casey to bed.

He and I talked--you know me saying "but it's her face" and his saying, "they couldn't do anything to her unless they put her to sleep and they are not going to do that for a cut that small"

Know what?

He's right!!!!

We will watch it and make sure nothing funny starts going on--like that eye being blood shot or not moving like the other one--but really I think it's just a cut to the lid and a good scrape on her cheek.

What is with my girls and their faces anyway!!!

Love my hubby and am so glad that he has a level head on his shoulders!!!!

Ouch!!

Okay those of you who know us well know our saying.....

IT ALWAYS ENDS IN TEARS!!!!!!!!!

Tonight has turned out to be no different.

Casey and Landon enjoyed playing tackle Dadday after dinner. After all that fun, they went upstairs to help Daddy give Max a shower!! Fun was had by all--well all but Max.

After the shower, Max was doing his run like a crazed dog till you dry off thing. Different from usually was that he was being chased by Casey and Landon. All the fun came to an adbrupt halt when Max made a quick turn and Casey tripped over him.
She fell right into the corner of the post on our banister upstairs. You know the sharp corner.
So here we are with a cut to our eye. These pictures were taken after much crying and fussing and boo boo george!!! Her eye has got to hurt. It was purple before she finished wetting her panties (while Daddy was holding her)!!There was some debate between the parents as to whether or not this might require an "it's a long way to a good hospital" trip. We never said those words out loud but she was crying about how she didn't want to go to the hospital!!! I'm still not totally sure. It's pretty small but cut in 3 directions. Didn't hardly have an blood thank goodness--just dabs.
So now we wait and see. I want to look at it again in a few minutes--just to see. You know what's the rule? It's not deep, there is little blood but it's her face!!!
Praying it doesn't hurt to much but knowing it's got to hurt!!!

Guess What I Got!!!!

A great friend that's what I've got!!
Now why would I say this?
Well this person has listened to me complain about text books, sick kids and other things.
She has laughed with me over silly things the kids do.
She been a friend for such a long time.

Well this friend blessed me today.
She brought me a gift. And not just something she picked up at the store.
She brought me something that she worked VERY HARD I'm sure at QUILLING.

Don't know what Quilling is? It's okay. I'm still learning.
So here is what she made for me.
Remember it's all paper!!!

To give you and idea of how tall it is....
Didn't she do a great job!!!! Even picked a lighthouse I've been to see in person!!

Thanks Melinda.
You made my day!!!
If you want to see some other things Melinda has made check out her blog on my right side bar.
(Eager Eyes of Blue) She has some pictures of some snow flakes that she's made and more info about quilling.
