Landon's Prayer

Tonight is the first time that Landon started his own prayer. Being 2 he usually echos what I say but not tonight.

Here is his prayer

Thank you God for this day.

Thank you my Dew (Drew).

Thank you my SaySee (Casey), Mimi, Koko.

Thank you my quawset (closet)

Thank you my bed

Thank you my blue doggie

Thank you my pacci

Thank you my moozik (music)

Thank you mommy's quawset

Amen

Now isn't that sweet. It was an honor to be the one to hear it!!

My new retractable screen door!!!

Yep, I wanted one all last year but then told Steve not to get one and to save the money. Well he surprised me and bought one anyway. It's been sitting in the garage all winter but with the beautiful weather ahead, it was time to install it!!

We are going to love it!!!

While he was working on the door....

Casey: (holding a watering can) Can we have some water to water the grass?

Steve: No.

Casey: (pausing and looking around) Can we have some water to water Mommy's dead flowers?

Steve: No

Then Steve came in and relayed the conversation to me. Hum, maybe it's time to clean out the flower pot that held beautiful annuals last summer.....but if I wait just a little longer, I can just replace them all at one time!!!

Conversations.....

Casey: Who wants a rubber band?

Shelby: Me!!

Casey: I was asking a little kid.

Shelby: I'm a little kid.

Casey: No you're a big kid.

Shelby: I'm not a teenager so I'm still a little kid. (I think I might have to remind her of this at a later date)

Casey: You've already been 3 so you are a big kid.

Shelby: You've been 3 already, too. So you are a big kid then. (this could come back to get her next time she tells Casey something is just for big kids)

Casey: No I'm a little kid (thinking I'll get to take advantage of this statement also) and I'm giving this to Landon!!!

This conversation was halted due to the fact that a Tornado Warning came across the screen of the TV at this point and got everyone all crazy!!!

Questions

Children are always full of questions and Casey is no exception.

Here are few that she has asked me lately....(as in this week)

1. When will I go to Heaven?

2. How long will be in Heaven?

3. Do you want to play house?

4. How will we get to Heaven?

5. How will our bodies get there?

6. Why is Max's leg broken? (don't worry it's not)

7. When will we come back from Heaven?

8. Does Jesus walk on the clouds?

9. Why did I get a mermaid baby for Christmas?

10. Who is Ms. Margaret's dad?

I think this little girl is going to keep me on my toes!!!
