Foreign Language Anyone?

We would love to win a Level 1 program from Rosetta Stone.  Wouldn't you?  You have a chance also!!!

Now is the perfect time to give your child the gift of possibilities for the holidays with Rosetta Stone Homeschool — and you can WIN a Level 1 Homeschool program, language of your choice (valued at $249)!

Right now Rosetta Stone is having a special Holiday promotion on our Homeschool Edition program and we’d like you to help spread the word! Everyone can save up to $150 on Rosetta Stone Homeschool by visiting our website at
http://www.RosettaStone.com/hsw1110.

By helping us spread the word you can win a Rosetta Stone Homeschool Edition Level 1 program, language of your choice, valued at $249.

This is a computer based curriculum and Rosetta Stone will also include a headset with microphone, and a supplementary “Audio Companion” CD so you can practice lessons in the car, on the go, or where-ever!

Students participate in life-like conversations and actually produce language to advance through the program. Rosetta Stone incorporates listening, reading, grammar, vocabulary and writing along with speaking and pronunciation lessons. For parents, the new Parent Administrative Tools are integrated into the program to allow parents to easily enroll up to ten students in any of 12 predetermined lesson plans, monitor student progress, grade completed work (the program grades the work automatically as the students progress), and you can view and print reports for transcripts. Homeschooling a lot of kids at your house? This program is designed to enroll and track up to ten students (five users on two computers) and will work for nearly all ages — from beginning readers up to college students.

Like Father Like Son....

Guess the late nights we've had the past few days are catching up with them....
They held on for a while (like 10 minutes) after they got on the couch to watch the Christmas shows on TV tonight!

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for so many things.....
I am especially thankful for a God who reminds me daily of His greatness!!!  He shows His might and power even in the setting of the sun!
I am very thankful for 4 (I still can't believe how blessed I am) wonderful children!

I am also thankful for the angels heralding the news of Christ's birth!!!  So very thankful that through the birth that the angels proclaimed that I don't have to be perfect because it is through my faith in Christ that I am made perfect!!

I am also thankful for Mimi and Kokopat who are celebrating 10 years of marriage today!!!
Love you guys!

Crazy Hair Night....

Here it is....

What you've all been waiting for....

Pictures from Crazy Hair Night.....
All of them being CRAZY!!

Shelby had these "pony tail" things all over the back of her head also!

Crazy hair night for Casey?  Thought we should add some "spunk" to her "normal, un-crazy Einstein" hair!

Landon didn't want crazy hair--he opted for crazy tongue!

Steve went for the layered look....wait till you see...

After seeing Daddy with blue hair, Landon wanted in on the action....

Steve with the other leader..while the kids voted for the one with the craziest hair!!

Things kids say

Just a few things the two little ones have said over the past few weeks.
9/2010
Casey:
Mom we need to lay some baby eggs.
Me:
What?
Casey:
We need to lay some baby eggs with ducks in them because baby ducks are so cute!

Landon had it set in his head that he was not going into choir and mission friends tonight.  He made it LOUD and clear that he did not care to be there at all.  He was wearing his bright green mission friends shirt and his choir teacher bent over the heap on the floor that was a screaming Landon and said (while rubbing his back) "I see a mission friend."  She said he stopped crying looked up and so "NO YOU DO NOT!  I NOT A MISSION FRIEND"  Oh boy!!!  When he makes up his mind he really makes it up!

9/29/2010
Landon's choir class rides stick horses during choir some nights.  Apparently Landon finished early b/c he told his teacher that his horse was tired and needed a snack!

9/30/2010
Landon gets in trouble for throwing his clothes to us when he needs help putting them on.
Today he needed some help and threw his pants--as soon as he did this is what I heard....
"That wasn't frowing.  That was tossing with style"  Said in his best Toy Story voice.

10/3/2010
Casey: Oh great now everybody will be looking at me.  (very exasperated tone)
Me:  Why
Casey: (very matter of fact) because I look so beautiful.

10/19/2010
Last night Steve let Landon play with his tools while he was working in the garage.  This morning Landon climbed into our bed and said, "Mommy can we buy Daddy's tools?"  He knows that we have to buy the things he needs/wants.  It was so cute!

Tonight on the way home from errands, Landon was telling me that his daddy had read him a book in the store.  We then had the following conversation:
Me:  Landon, you've got the best daddy in the world.
Landon: Yea, uh no mommy I not have the best daddy in the world.  I have you--the best mommy friend in the world.
Me:  Thanks Landon but you still have the best daddy.
Landon:  Nope, I have the best friend mommy.
I figured at that point we would just leave it alone--because I know the truth!!!
