Casey's 1st hair cut

Okay here are the pictures from Casey's first hair cut.

The before: I didn't take her into the park looking like this, her hair had been pulled up!!!

And I'm sure that no one is surprised to see "baby" in this picture.

Casey getting her pixie dust and Mickey heads.

Casey and Ms Renee. Casey also got her first pair of "ears" after her hair cut. They even have the words "First Hair Cut" stitched into the back. Isn't she so cute (and now she can see!!)

Hair cut anyone?

While we were at Disney, all 3 of the big kids got their hair cut. It doesn't really cost any more than it does at home and it's a lot of fun!!! Okay, since Steve or I cut Drew's hair at home it's a little more expensive at Disney but not for the others. Shelby had been saying all along that she wanted her hair cut at Disney again--that's where she had her first hair cut. Then Drew got on board and he wanted his done also!! Then I decided that Casey really could use a hair cut--at least a bang trim so that she could see, so we waited!!!!

Here are some pictures from our stop at Harmony Barber Shop.

Drew got his normal hair cut with a little "touch" of color!! So what do you think?

Yes, those are Mickey heads in his hair!

Shelby waiting on the scissors to start cutting. We had much discussion as to how much to have cut. She wanted a change but still wanted to keep her hair long. Oh the issues that come with hair cuts--I know her pain!!!

Shelby went for stripe of pink and lots of Pixie dust and Mickey heads. In case you are wondering, yest all that stuff stays in their hair. It requires quite a bit of "washing" to get it out.

We got lots of comments on their hair as you can imagine.

Look out Mickey...

Well we are finally back from our trip to Disney World. It was quite a trip. It all started when we realized on Wednesday night that our flight had been cancelled and we now had a 4 1/2 hour lay over in Atlanta!!!!! I think not. We finally decided to fly out a day early and got a better flight but not direct. Before we left Casey started feeling crummy again so I took her to the doctor who said to take her on the trip. So we did.

Sunday was a mixed day. When we got into the park, the first thing we heard was Casey saying, "I frowed up". Yep just want you want to hear!!! She seemed to feel fine so we just cleaned her up and went on. We had a great time riding the rides and seeing all the many things at Magic Kingdom. Sunday went down hill a little as Casey started feeling a little worse but she seemed to rebound by dinner. Monday came and we got the sad news that KP dad had passed away. Tuesday and Wednesday were fun but Casey still didn't feel her best. Thursday and Friday were pretty bad for Casey. She was sick enough that the doctor came to our room on Thursday night. Not really how you want to spend your trip. Friday she was still sick. Steve took the big kids to ride the Seadoo boats. They had to take turns because only 2 people at a time can ride in the boat. Drew actually got to drive and he almost turned the boat over with he and Steve in it. Then Steve took Shelby for a spin. I think they had fun and I got all of our stuff packed and ready for the trip home. Casey had a time in the afternoon where she was fever free and seemed to feel pretty good so we took the kids into the park. They seemed to all have a good time. Friday night we went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Steve and Casey went back to the room early and I stayed with Drew, Shelby and Landon. It was great. The lines were non existent and so we were able to just walk onto rides that usually have long waits. It was great!!!

I would love to take the kids back soon--especially Casey and Landon. i do hate to say that I don't think Steve's sister, Debbie and her family had a great time either. Katie, who is just 2 weeks older than Casey, didn't care for the characters and it was hot and very "busy" for her. I hope that they did have a good time. I know it was stressful for them also. They are in the process of moving from Maryland to Alabama (as in their stuff got packed up on Friday before they left!) and Tom's grandmother died while we were there also.

So who wants to go to Disney with us? Come on now I know you all want to.

Finally and update

Wow! I can't believe it's been 1 week since we moved!! We sure do miss our friends but have been so busy unpacking that we haven't had time to dwell on it!!!
I did spend some time this morning updating the blog so you can see what we've been up to.
Casey is having the most difficult time adjusting. She keeps asking to go home. Nights have been pretty difficult.
Now we just need everyone to pray that Hanna and Ike (and Josephine) stay away from Florida, since we leave on Saturday!!! Thanks to Air Tran cancelling our flight on Sunday we now get one more day in Florida. Casey know that in 2 more night nights it will be time to go see "CINRELLA"!! I can't wait to see her face!!
Now off to unpack and change some nasty diapers.

Nap time?

When we lived in Fort Mill, Casey had a cabinet that she played hide n seek in.
Here the cabinets are bigger and she has one that she "sleeps" in.

Night, Night!

"Hey Mommy, Casey's in the cabinet again!!"
